Lowbush Blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium)
The lowbush blueberry is smaller than its tall cousin usually encountered at commercial blueberry farms, but the fruit is still delicious and can be used in all the same ways. In addition to being appreciated by people, the blueberries are enjoyed by a variety of wild birds and wildlife.
Some people enjoy lowbush blueberry as a ground cover in low traffic areas or along border edges. It also has attractive autumn colors. Prefers acidic soil.
