Nodding Wild Onion (Allium cernuum)
$4.00
Nodding Onion has unusual striking flowers that exhibit a “nodding” behavior and bend downward in the rain to protect nectar. The bulbs have a history of use treating various ailments. The plant can also be prepared and eaten similar to a traditional green onion, though it has a stronger flavor than its supermarket cousins.
Plants are currently sold in 3″ recycled plastic pots donated to our nursery by community members.
