Hanging these from rafters or doorways is an old Irish tradition to bring luck to the home. The crosses are associated with the Catholic patron Saint Brigit and the Celtic Goddess Brigit, two figures irrevocably intertwined in Irish myth, legend and folklore. The crosses are woven with the tips of willows used to make the rest of my baskets, backpacks, coffins and urns. They may vary slightly in color or size based on willow available I have available.
